About the Role:

Calor is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Lead Demand Planning Manager to drive our demand planning strategy across the short, medium, and long term. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of a comprehensive forecasting process that is key to our sales and operational planning success. Collaborating closely with teams across operations, commercial transformation, and finance, you will create a bottom-up forecasting process, aiming for 98% accuracy. Your work will play a critical role in shaping data-driven decisions, impacting Calor’s business at every level.

You will have the opportunity to lead and innovate in a fast-paced environment, while also managing a Demand Planning Analyst. Your role will involve analyzing external market factors—such as industry trends and weather impacts—alongside direct customer insights to enhance our demand planning capabilities. You’ll work with teams ranging from board members to customer-facing staff, applying both strategic thinking and attention to detail.

If you're passionate about translating data into actionable insights, maximizing opportunities, and driving efficiencies, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver accurate demand forecasts across volume, creation, and margin, aligning with Calor's broader commercial goals.
  • Embed a customer-focused, bottom-up forecasting approach within the sales team using industry insights and market data.
  • Partner with supply chain and commercial transformation teams to optimize Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to enhance logistical efficiencies and support peak-shaving initiatives.
  • Prioritize customers based on profitability, working closely with commercial effectiveness and operations.
  • Lead customer master data improvement initiatives, reducing supply outages and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Play a key role in CAPEX planning for new customer creation, aligning forecasting with investment strategies.
  • Integrate external market and weather insights into the demand planning process to better predict business performance.
  • Work directly with senior leadership on budgeting and sales forecasts, providing critical insights to drive company strategy.
  • Optimize the use of SalesForce CRM to maximize planning and reporting efficiency.
  • Provide guidance to the supply planning team on inventory management and product life cycles.

Why Calor?

  • Strategic Impact: Be at the forefront of decision-making, working with senior leadership and influencing key business strategies.
  • Growth Opportunities: Develop and lead demand planning initiatives that shape the future of Calor's operations.
  • Innovative Environment: Collaborate across departments, embracing a culture of data-driven, forward-thinking planning.
  • Leadership Role: Own the entire demand planning function with the autonomy to implement change, drive efficiencies, and improve performance.

About You

  • Degree-qualified (Bachelor’s) with a professional certification in supply chain or demand planning.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain or demand planning, with a focus on established S&OP cycles.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, large data sets, and developing accurate demand forecasting models.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Financially literate with the ability to translate data insights into commercial impact.
